Analysis of Shadows of a Skull

Libra Mayhew 1979 (Nashville, TN)

Don't take the short cut
Don't take the easy way out
There lies the Shadows of a Skull
Right before your eyes

If you enter a zone of despair
Of desolation and no return
Then it might be too late for you
To turn back.

Unless you close your eyes
Breath deeply
Let go of your fears
And tell yourself, that the darkness
Is nothing more than a side of the light?
That breaches through

In the Shadows of a Skull
You will see death
But you can take death on
And embrace it with hope
When you learn not to fear
death, then so shall you prosper
Down the path of life.

Don't turn away from the darkness
For darkness can be your ally
As the light is much a part of us
As that of darkness.

A Yin & A Yang
They join as one
Let both the light and darkness
Come together, because the light
cannot act on its own

Let the Shadows of a Skull
Know you're not afraid
That would stand in the faces
Of evil and then tell it
To leave and never return.

For when you stand ready
For when you stand facing the trumpets
Then so shall you shout
Victory! For the Shadows of a Skull
Is no match for your perseverence.

Libra Mayhew

This is my own poem, from the depths of my heart. It is my original piece of art. I write what I mostly feel such as this. I speak how I see people, how others just do not understand someone, and yet, they think they do. Try to learn to know where the other is coming from, otherwise, you miss the true ending and continue to end things prematurely. more…
