Analysis of A New Path
I turn my back and shake off this disgust,
as your body of lies turns to dust.
I've wiped my hands of this lust,
and my salt sprayed eyes no longer cry tears of rust.
Its a long walk home towards a life of trust.
Wading knee deep through lfes emotional crust.
But each step becomes easier than the last,
and a divine wind that blows at my back pushes my
spirit further from your grasp.
And so as the wet ink from this pen dries on this page,
so does my desire for your lies and your luke warm
touch of love on my face.
I look back once at my insecurities in the distance,
Then turn around and keep walking with no regrets,
and no resistance.
