Analysis of Never had the chance to say goodbye!

Just a quick note to all of you wonderful poets and story tellers who may have or may  have not walked out the door and forgot to tell the ones you care so deeply about how you feel. It happened to me and it never will again. Just a few thoughts about the lives that were lost, so senseless, this past week in Auroroa Co. and to all the Families who now are without that special someone. I am now adding The amazing first responders who tried to help out all the preciuos children and teachers who were killied in Newtown Conn.Tell the ones you love how you feel. Here is an old poem I am re-writing!

They'll wake up this morning
like days in the past,
prepare for the day
and not a word will be said.

The children awaken
and are hurried along,
No time will be taken
to say what is wrong.

Mom and Dad leave for work
and go seperate ways,
One will not return
at the end of the day.

One has come home and
the children are there,
a simple I Love You
may have cleared the air.

Saying I'm sorry
or I love you instead,
May have been easier
now it can't be said.

So wake up each morning
and atleast say Hi,
The people you Love need to hear it
and please say Goodbye!

Dying so sudden within
the blink of an eye,
Means I never took the chance to say it,
I love you, Goodbye

Edward Willard

I have been working in the mining industry, yes underground for 32 plus years, I have seen alot of people come and go and miners are their own breed of people. Yes some are college educated and love our jobs. As for me, I enjoy reading other peoples thoughts, and I try to find something good to say about most people and try to be a positive influence on my employees and all people in my everyday life. I have been through some very dark times in my life, most have been brought on by myself, but by the grace of God and alot of self thinking and searching I have overcome most things in life. I try to always be a positive role model and have learned most things in life the hard way. Thanks for taking the time to read my thoughts and your remarks are truely welcome good or bad. I for one Love Poetry.com and being back on line and being able to retrieve my old poetry was awesome! My wish is that we all can find a way to communicate via email if possible to share our lifes experiences and to be there for one another. I can be reached at willarde@compassminerals.com or motoxrat58@yahoo.com. Have a Blessed day and keep writing. All of your work absolutely and truely brightens my days!Ed more…
