Analysis of She's Like Autumn
She comes down every misty morning
Atmosphere still crisp
Just to smell the air
And the chrysanthemums I'd cut
Pets the plump pumpkins
and scans the low-light kitchen
Thinks we should have more candles
that burn scents of farmer's markets
and Thanksgiving
I tell her, over broken stems and toast,
that Autumn should stay home this year
Cause all the beautiful things
of her season
are standing all right here
