Analysis of Sticks

Lessons taught in arithmetic
Learned listening to a tune
An instrument of discipline
The infamous "hickory stick"
Completing projects has no trick
Check twice before you cut
An instrument for measuring
The best tool is a "yardstick"
A facial place to kiss and lick
Painted in countless shades
An instrument that's cosmetic
The color tubes named "lipstick"
Liquid flavors frozen till thick
Are tasted with delight
An instrument to hold the cold
The hand held "popsickle-stick"
Seeking directions straight and quick
Come forth twisted and turned
An instrument circuitous
The man points a "crooked stick"
