Analysis of Time Has Come To Move On
Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)
It breaks my heart,
Just to think of the thought of it.
'I understand.
I'm doing the best I can,
To hold back my tears.
But...
Time does come.
To prove it moves on.
And, so true it does for us too!'
I can not bear,
These sentimental moments!
'Pull yourself together.
We have done,
All we can do here.
Our conflicts, division...
And bigoted racism to start.
Began with such...
Overwhelming anticipation.
Folks were eating that stuff up.
And even our attempts,
To overthrow and circumvent...
The government at the Capital.
Captured the attention,
Of the media around the World.'
Yeah!
You are right.
So awesome that was.
And that insurrection?
Thrilled me to goosebumps!
'Then...
Truth had to interfere.
Revealing our deceiving ways!'
Sssshhh.
It's going to be okay.
'What next?
What next are we going to do?
Everything cwe have done,
Is beginning...
To show signs of failure.'
Well...
All is not lost.
Think about this.
Once addicted you must admit,
People love their fraud and corruption!
And...
Its benefits.
'Go on.
I'm listening.'
Thoughtlessly we dressed,
Inappropriately at the insurrection.
We came dressed for combat.
Instead of our 'After 6' costumes.
The image was entirely wrong.
You see...
People will accept and spread,
The telling of a lie in a minute.
If it is a good one.
How many times have we heard,
EQUALITY AND JUSTICE FOR ALL.
WITH...PROSPERITY.
AND HIGHER TAX LESS WAGES.
People could care less,
About equality and justice.
They want that prosperity.
The bucks. The cash. You follow?
'Yeah! Yeah I do!
Ears perk up,
When money is mentioned.
And...
Dependable B.S. to sell too.
So...
What is it you are saying,
To not yet say?'
Mars!
Mars is our next move.
'MARS?
Like in the planet MARS?'
YES.
The one and only.
It will soon be colonized.
'Are you nuts?
That head of yours,
Is way up your butt!'
'We both agree,
Time has come to move on.
Right?'
Right!
But time we have to come and go,
Will long be gone...
Before Mars happens.
To welcome us dressed,
In 'After 6' costumes.
Trying to convince,
Programmed robots...
Prosperity to promised it.
From fools who attempted,
To destroy their own quality of life.
Preventing a future,
They were too ignorant about.
Acting like barbarians.
Hoping to reverse a time,
Moving forward to stop it!
'You...
Have no imagination.
That's why,
We don't get along sometimes.
All that ethnic and diversity talk,
Has completely messed up your mind.
Where,
And what have you allowed done...
To your allegiance to the flag.
Along with that patriotism,
You once had?'
Keep talking!
It's becoming more obvious to me!
