Fooled
Carrie Zis 1981 (Narrogin)
I will not let you lies burden me with shame, I have already done that damage to myself yesterday
You can’t believe someone who is so broken inside
They do not know what they hide
They blame others for what they are instead of owning what they cause, it’s time to accept I can not fix you, you never will change it’s a foundation in you
I thought you were so much more but you just really wanted a whore, I was never that girl I had already changed my past is my story, not where I aim
I am better off now for staying true to my word, I meant it next I will not say a word, respect myself and walk away, it’s only a shame I gave in to you so many times
I wish you loved me in return but that’s the lesson I will not let it change my best quality
Because I’m going places you’ll never get to be, you chose it to be that way but who am I to have a say, I was ready to leave, I had enough of fighting for love that was never going to last
Go be happy doing what you want, it was painfully clear you had lost intetrest, making me feel abandon and captive
I am glad to be free do you understand I can finally breath with out fear or wondering what I always did wrong even though I was always strong
Forgave what I should let me walk because you didn’t deserve all my hard work, I forgive you now but Ill never forget, what a shit cunt you finally was when it was all spent
I’m excited to thrive and be just who I am, you no longer get a say in how I show myself this way, I may not be much to most around, but I’m me and I am proud, I have lived my way a story to tell but it is mine so stop trying to tell what you don’t have insight to, you only telling the lies that you assume
I have to break my heart and soul from your clutches, I’m not cold but I have to let go
