Terror In Paradise
Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)
When you wish upon a star.
No where near to where are.
And that star speeds away,
As fast as it is seen.
Then you begin to hear people scream.
Turn down the music,
Playing loud in your ears.
Remove your ear buds.
Then to notice making it clear,
Those stars to see,
Appearing getting closer...
In the night time sky.
Sounding more like a gun shooting bullets.
Know this not to wonder,
That's exactly what they are.
Although...
In many neighborhoods looking peaceful,
During the day.
When night comes,
And heard crickets begin to chirp?
They are not crickets chirping. No!
They are gangbangers.
Out to prove,
The police when called.
And TV news reporters arrive.
They become stars of their own making!
'So...
You guys are getting,
More creative at this.
Look at the faces of the neighbors.
Shocked.
And that dude over there.
With that cellphone in his hand.
Trembling.
Tell our viewers, DJ Jupiter...
Why the gun activity?
Between you,
And The First Pew Mob?
Even with fake police.
Why?
Tell us...me... and the viewers.
Why?'
'Publicity, promotion and 'likes'.'
'I see.
Something new?
Something mind blowing?'
'OH yes!
Piping hot.
It's about to drop.
Let it boom boyz!'
'Ooo nice.
I love it.
What is this one called?'
'Terror In Paradise'
'There you have it, folks.
I'm here with DJ Jupiter.
And The First Pew Mob.
With yet another informal introduction.
TERROR IN PARADISE.
I'm loving it.
And I am sure,
You viewers will too be loving it soon.
Thank you, DJ Jupiter.
Thank you, First Pew Boyz!
That's a wrap!
Will you please call me next time.
Before you pull a stunt like this.
I just knew this was another,
Ghetto 'thing'.'
'Exactly!
You got it from both sides.
That's why 'Terror In Paradise',
Promises to be my biggest hit EVER!
