The Storm
Fidelis Peter Olowu 1982 (Agbarho Kingdom)
About this poem
In life, there are storms of different kinds. The storm of anger, the storm of jealousy, the storm of envy, the storm of insecurity, and even the storm of over excitement and so on, all of these come and go, but the havoc they cause stays for a longer time, thus Fidel in this poem tries to remind us that we should always remember to put our emotions under deliberate control so that we don't cause for ourselves problems that we will have to regret later, or so that we don't cause for ourselves irreparable damage either to ourselves, to someone else or to a system. This to me is one of the very best Haiku poems ever written on the surface of mother Earth. more »
