Each Stage Of Outrage
Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)
Each stage of weaponized outrage.
That sizzles to heat,
From insecurities seeking...
A soothing of feeling self defeat.
Originates to begin,
In the minds of those...
Incapable to live without attention to get.
And will relentlessly charm,
Others into an unarmed consciousness.
That strips them of common sense.
With all there is associated,
To a thought process to accept.
A disconnection that objects reality.
By one who insist they must protest,
And defend...
Their entitled rights to inflict and ignite,
Infighting and conflicts upon others.
To ensure they become the victims.
And not the ones creating,
The havoc, tension and racial division.
'They are making irreversible mistakes!'
'Yeah.
But the only thing about those mistakes,
To believe one day them to be forgiven.
Is the dependency upon others.
Hoping this need to be forgotten.
By the ones, their families...
And business associates.
Who had one time came to the aid,
Of the evil doers betraying their humanity.
To expect a return of that 'normalcy'.
Beginning at each stage,
Of their thoughtless, misdeeding outrage.
To find doors closed on their cut noses.
Done to spite,
Their own faces.
Shown for who they are and known,
Exposed!'
'That to do,
Will be an impossibility to undo!'
'Tell me about it.
Although...
I have always been taught to learn,
Nothing is impossible.'
'I hear what you say.
But new lessons are taught to teach,
Everyday.
And the impossible to achieve it,
We have come to witness...
The many determined,
To achieve the impossible successfully!'
'What a sarcastic and cynical thing to say.'
'Yesterday?
Perhaps.
However...
Today?
Living in the present.
To accept reality for what it is?
Hopefully my observations,
Will be forgiven for my inability to delude.
Or swim with others in a pool,
Filled with nothing more than denial.'
'Well...
As long as you don't dive into it head first.
You will be okay.
LOL.
You get it?
Diving into an empty pool.
Swimming with folks in denial.'
'I remember years ago when we met.
And...
I ignored this voice I heard.'
'Really?
What did that voice say to you?'
'It said...
DON'T WAIT TOO LATE,
TO STAY AWAY FROM FOOLS!'
'Hmmm.
And did you?
Now,
If I heard a voice speaking to me like that.
And that loud too?
I would have certainly paid attention.
Why are you looking at me?
Shaking your head.
I'm not a ventriloquist.
So you can't blame that voice on me!'
'God?
Nevermind!
