My Strength
To You, O Lord, I call my rock,
Be not silent or deaf to me;
I have become like those who talk,
But are blinded and cannot see.
I became like those in a pit,
Crying for mercy in my plea;
No longer spiritually fit,
I am asking to rescue me.
I lift my hands to You on high,
Towards Your Holy Oracle;
So please do not ignore my cry,
Who is a faithful disciple.
Drag me not off with the loathsome,
With workers of iniquity;
For their thoughts are very gruesome,
And filled with immorality.
They speak of peace with evil hearts,
According to their evil deeds;
Of what work that their hand imparts,
Rewarded by what darkness needs.
They disregard works of the Lord,
Tearing down all that He has done;
Calls to heed are being ignored,
All the commandments merely shun.
Bless be the Lord hearing my voice,
Of my pleas for mercy and grace;
Supplications that I rejoice,
From Your comfort that You embrace.
You are my strength also my shield,
And within Him my heart will trust;
While my soul has a high yield,
Knowing to follow Him I must.
You are the strength of Your people,
Saving refuge of Your select;
Who go worship in Your temple,
For You care never to neglect.
Save Your people and heritage,
Be their shepherd, guard forever;
Up through till the end of this age,
Watching over their endeavor.
