Favor Restoration
Richard Newton Sherrer 1951 (Easton)
You have shown favor to Your land,
Restoring all of the fortunes;
Rescued Your people with Your hand,
That came from sinful intentions.
You forgave the iniquity,
By covering all of their sin;
From confession of a plea,
For being purified within.
You had withdrawn all of Your wrath,
And have turned from Your hot anger;
Clearing obstacles from my path,
For allowing peace to languor.
Restore us our salvation,
Allowing Your anger to cease;
Put away Your indignation,
Enable me to feel Your peace.
Will you be angry forever?
Will anger prolong the ages?
Let not Your favor to sever,
For the comfort that embraces.
Would You please revive us again,
So that Your people may rejoice;
For a new life that will begin,
While we lift up our voice.
Please show us of Your steadfast love,
By granting us of Your salvation;
Letting it to flow from above,
Building us a new foundation.
Let me hear of what You will speak,
Speak peace and love to Your people;
So that Your saints able to seek,
The truth while in Your temple.
Surely Your salvation is near,
Your glory dwell in our land;
Assist all those who do revere,
Following what You do command.
Steadfast love and faithfulness meet,
Justice and peace kiss each other;
As harmony becomes complete,
Relationship with one another.
