Devoted Wholesomeness
Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)
Living unafraid,
With a fear to face truth and reality.
Is not only a decision made.
But a lesson taught to teach.
Long before,
One learns a lie to tell...
Has its consequences to pay.
That may return,
The telling of them not to go so well.
Yet...
A selling told of a wholesomeness,
Not to exist but to believe in it.
Sold by those self-righteous.
Defiant although observed supporting,
Hypocrisy and deception clearly seen.
Has a way to make more difficult,
Living with truth to express this as is.
Especially when many live to defend,
A way of life...
Based upon pretensions to live them.
As if a routine on a daily basis to prove,
What is done they do...
Is beyond judgements to pass.
Or criticisms to accept the facts.
With it done to hear them actually say,
Their faults to find and address publicly...
Are created by disgruntled and envious,
Nonconformists seeking for themselves...
An attention to get.
For the purpose to focus upon,
Blemishes and flaws to be nonexistent.
To delude them displayed everywhere.
Yet those of a wholesome,
And anointed self-righteousness...
Refuse to believe,
They could be that out of touch.
With others who see and agree,
Themselves to be the cream of the crop!
On top of a World lived exclusively distant.
'How can you insist to believe,
Yourselves to be...
So much better than the rest?'
'Hey! You?
Yes YOU!
GET OFF OF MY CLOUD!
