Love can Heal

The instant I looked into your eyes
I saw broken, battered, & bruised

From that very moment, I was your muse
Your inner child so lost & confused

All the pain in your heart
Nearly made me fall apart

Here you stand
A broken man

How much can one withstand?
Here, follow me!
Take my hand!

Never again will you be alone
Your pain I will help you own

Your pain & sorrow I will help you carry
Wounds you want to bury

My love will heal you
It is steadfast and True

This is the way I feel when I look at you!

About this poem

I am currently in separation from the love of my life and this is how I feel about him. He needs to heal his inner child wounds before we can come together.
