Untethered
An anchor once tethered me to this world
It weathered every storm and never let go
Buried deep inside me gripping at my heart
Chains tightly bound to never fall apart
Then clouds of stone from a front came in
A storm so violent left unable to swim
Chains of pain weighing me down
Reaching for the surface as I begin to drown
About this poem
I lost someone I loved who was once my rock
