Unshakable Things
Richard Newton Sherrer 1951 (Easton)
You have come unto Mount Zion,
The city of the living God;
Where the lamb lies with the lion,
Where the righteous honor and laud.
The heavenly Jerusalem,
Many angels are gathering;
A joyous festive vinculum,
Spiritually empowering.
The assembly of the firstborn,
Who have been enrolled in Heaven;
Their righteous spirits will sojourn,
Through the blessings that are given.
Jesus Christ, the mediator,
Sprinkles blood speaks a better Word;
Is our coordinator,
Being the shepherd of the herd.
Refuse not him who is speaking,
They escape not when they refuse;
Rather search what you are seeking,
Asking Jesus to help you choose.
For whose voice that has shook the earth,
Will shake the earth also Heaven;
Removing all things having worth,
Except the righteously given.
Removing things that have been made,
Things not shaken then will remain;
The unrighteous will be afraid,
While being bonded by chain.
Be glad receiving a Kingdom,
And that can never be shaken;
Acceptable who has wisdom,
Having godly fear when awaken.
God is a consuming fire,
The righteous He warmly embrace;
Reflecting on His desire,
Allowing us to have His grace.
