Stated To Convey

Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)

A message stated to convey it,
May be in need to be...
Associated to something relatable.
And easy to identify,
As having a meaning that brings bling.
A bling that sparkles,
With a blinding gleaming glow.
That conveys the message,
Worn and meant to send...
By one who enters in flashing,
Nothing more...
Than an overdose of swagger.
No one should be anticipating to await,
For a statement to hear it made...
Coming from someone,
Whose late arrival and presence...
Was meant and intended to be,
The main event.

'Uh...
Mister Flawless?'

'Yehus?'

'The message you were invited,
To deliver to us.
Is...what?'

'If you are still praying,
To have someone special...
Found to find you attractive?
Remember,
Never to forget...
Even God has been quoted to say,
Distance from ugliness...
Makes the heart grow fonder!'

'I think you mean,
Absence makes the heart grow fonder.'

'Choose either one to prove it to me.
That's my message.'

'We paid you,
Based upon a recommendation...
You would deliver to us,
An encouraging motivational speech.'

'And did I not encourage everyone,
To identify and distance themselves...
From ugliness?'

'But...
What is inspirational about that?
No one should feel the cause and blame,
For the way they look!'

'Oh...
Please forgive me.
You folks are still on the outside,
Living limits preventing you to come in.
Once a mind is opened,
Broad and panoramic wide?
No one can hide their ugliness.
Even behind a mask,
Prevent yourself from being infected.'

'Whose ugliness are you talking about?'

'All of us can get ugly.
But today?
My own fantasticness...
Dared me to be obnoxious about it.
And I could not resist,
It bringing out the ugliness in somebody.'

'So...
You have stated to convey,
What message to leave left learned?'

'Never take for granted,
A first impression one makes...
To be the best they could have made.
It may be the beginning,
Of other fresh unsuspecting tests.'

'I don't understand.'

'You?
It took me years,
To find the courage to wear this outfit.
And swagger like I do too?
You have no idea.'
