Keep It Up
Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)
Rain comes down.
To nourish the ground.
With a feeding of a need.
All around to see this done.
Although taken for granted,
Is the Moon and Sun.
Doing what they do...
Satisfying to please everyone.
Morning, noon and night.
Feeding our appetites.
Whatever is liked or disliked.
As if obligated.
With our approval given.
Yet...
All that positive stuff.
We seem incapable...
To keep it up in our heads.
Like dreams to wish.
With faith kept to know,
All things wanted to expect to grow.
Has to first be planted.
'In lots of dirt, right?'
How much of it in your mind is there?
Have you found this dirt,
To be of benefit to you?
Although I must admit,
A healthy appetite one has to lust for life.
Is much different,
Than a lusting just to lust.
With wishes to keep it up lusting.
'What are you talking about?'
Life.
And what it takes to make things grow.
Morning, noon and night.
With an ease to please and pleasure,
Those kept expectations.
Knowing not to take for granted,
The rising anticipated...
That comes to leave,
Its moistured dew upon the grass.
Awaiting breathlessly for dawn.
'That sounds erotic to me.'
Huh?
What?
'Your description.'
My description?
Oh. Yes.
As I was saying,
Lusting for life is quite different...
Than wishing just to lust.
'How different is it?'
Keeping it up after one ages.
However...
The sensation may take hours,
To realize the reality is a delusion.
'What?'
You're still young.
Still blooming with dreams to fulfill.
When you grow older.
As this you will.
And that bloom begins to wither?
As this too will.
That lust just to live life,
Feeling mentally uplifted?
Is all one has to offer.
That's it.
All those slow foreplay days,
Become more of an attempt...
To achieve an event that seldom happens.
'At least you have one thing in your favor.'
Oh, yeah?
And what is that?
'A lustful without lusting just to lust,
Point of view of an erotic life to live.'
Remember...
It becomes easier to keep in your hands.
Than someone else's.
Many misunderstand,
What having a lust for life...
Kept to keep it up,
Doing it done on a daily basis means.
'I'm still young with lots of time,
To lust for the kind of life I like.
And enjoy morning, noon and night.
Done to do it right.
With a doing to make sure,
My mind and hands...
Are involved in every effort I endeavor.
That will stay my focus to prioritize,
From now on.
Thank you for the advice.'
And I am hoping what it is you do,
Has your full commitment to improve.
'Trust me.
I will please to pleasure,
With every effort I make endeavored.'
Take it slow and appreciate,
The feeling and experience...
In the momentum of your movement.
Notice,
How you will gain to achieve...
That successful outcome you desire.
Anticipated not to disappoint.
With no regrets to leave behind.
Expect only your best performance.
Each and every time,
Your mind remains focused...
To satisfy that urge completely.
Then rest.
And feel proud.
Of what you have achieved,
To accomplish it!
'I don't smoke cigarettes.
Do you suggest a sipping of wine?'
What?
'Nevermind.
This lusting for life to keep it up stuff,
Has me wanting to rush out...
To nourish my thoughts,
In minds to plant them.
Before the rain falls tonight.
Leaving dew to moisture the grass,
Long before dawn arrives.'
Uh...huh?
This lust to have,
Has nothing to do with the weather.
'Trust me.
You gave me incentive,
To keep my mind seeded with wishes.
And...
After the morning dawn has arrived.
That shower I take,
Will be more than welcomed.
To prepare myself,
For a high noon repeated activity.'
