life boat

FRANCES EFFLER 1967

I sailed across the beautiful sea
the wind was blowing me pleasantly  free
As the water over flowed the boat
I took sanctuary with this note

My life boat my lifeboat
saving me with my raincoat
I was scared and alone
helpless with no phone

The lifeboat was my angel
I could not dangle
faster then the speed of light
I rushed over with delight
