I Am

I am the breeze that gently blows
to swell the sails of your boat.
I am the wind that rises with dawn
to guide birds' wings o'er land and  shore.
In lark's morn soaring flight,
I am the vision far-off and wide.
I am the wave in constant flow
in high tide and in low.
I am the path that winds uphill
to safely lead you home.
In leaps, swift and graceful,
I am the legs of the gazelle and fawn.
When  in the desert, fearful you roam,
my arms, I carry you on.

About this poem

This poem is a kind of meditation on things that we are not necessarily aware of, but feel are there, and are all sustained by an invisible force.
