Expecting To Accept Excuses Made
Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)
Here we are.
Living to compare ourselves,
As progressive and normal human beings.
And defend our quality of life,
With a quickness to protect...
Our entitled rights,
Of free speech.
And in ways we choose,
To interpret and perform the act of it.
So blessed we are to be envied hypocrites.
With it to convince ourselves,
That others around the World...
Are jealous of this with wishes to imitate.
And...
Here we are.
Reeking of pretentions and charades to fake.
While awaiting our leaders hesitate,
Over which decisions to make...
Without proof or evidence,
A thought process...
With common sense is used.
Here we are!
Appearing to look as if intelligent.
Believers of God and faith followers too!
And yet...
Has it become more heartbreaking for some,
To spank a child for the wrongs they've done.
Heard to have threatened other children,
With knives and guns.
Brought to their schools and openly used.
Or...
As a punishment,
Imprison their negligent parents.
Who give permission to their children,
To be heathens and belligerent demons.
Taught to teach weapons given to them,
Is a reward more valuable to receive...
Than a truth denied to refuse its reality.
Then choose we do to ignore,
Every disrespecting deed against humanity...
Done.
By children fed monster cookies for fun.
Enjoying,
The power...
To have in the poisoning of their innocence.
With an intention not mentioned,
To expect and accept every excuse...
Heard to hear made.
What advance society of conscious beings,
Would honestly defend...
Such ongoing and self defeating nonsense?
'Not that a passing of judgement,
Would or should make any difference...
To decisions those in high places choose.
With a looking down,
From their upturned noses.
While sitting on their inflated aspirations.
With pretensions kept to keep,
Their deluded to fiction status.
As if forever to smell like,
A power grabbing attention getting rose.
But...
Forgive me. I apologize. I digress.
What race and ethnic heritage,
Are these people you describe...
As appearing to look intelligent be?
One of us?'
What if...
They were white, black, brown and yellow?
'Mixed?
And for generations meant to do purposely?
Making it very difficult to determine,
What decision to apply...
That would be effectively more appropriate.
And besides...
Whose ancestors,
Will come to haunt us with their rolling eyes?'
WHAT?
'Very easy it is for you to be in that position!
Isn't it?'
In What position?
'In the WHAT position.'
That makes no sense.
'And...
You expect me to solve your dilemmas.
While doing the best I can,
To prove I am from a pure bloodline!'
Well...
You are certainly no 'Albino'!
However...
Nor a dwarf can you either claim to be!
If this had been requested as proof,
Of your being a citizen of these United States.
'Meaning...what, exactly?'
It's you not me,
Threatened by looks and images.
Idols and symbols.
The color of this and that.
And who has power to rule and control.
With no one to know or admit,
Of knowing the next move...
Mother Nature will make.
Proving who the fools are to be made.
