What Today Is...

It's 1200...

Do you know what today is?

4 Years ago today I laughed
My guess was I had gathered trash
My eyesight was getting the best of me
My family together a separate entity
Four years ago I didn't see me

Do you know what today is?

3 Years ago today I paused
My body deeply in distress
My mind in a state of quest
My heart connected to many strings
Three years ago I was missing

Do you know what today is?

2 Years ago today I died
I lost my bearing and my soul inside
I laid in a setting to where
I watched myself sleep
Two years ago I lost me

Do you know what today is?

1 Year ago today I cried
I purchased tickets a ticket
It was a joy for me to do
I looked at the confirmation
I was preparing to come through
One year ago, God united two

Do you know what today is?

Four weeks ago I took the drive of my life
Three quarters plus of a day to life
Two got to a place where joy would be
One joined together in God and Holy matrimony

Do you know what to day is?

It's a day God made for you and me.
