Very Few If Any
Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)
Very few if any,
Are seen in the streets...
Desperately seeking,
Truth and reality.
Especially among the many,
Observed...
Refusing to believe,
Their lives to live smothered in denial...
Are overdosing on prescribed medications.
Hoping to stay away as far as possible,
From threats to protect and defend...
A way of life,
Kept normalized by pretensions.
And fading delusions fictioned to create.
Very few if any,
Are witnessed these days...
Protesting against,
The absence and use of common sense.
Once too common to question,
Where it has gone to be found around.
Or why is it,
The rise of mental illnesses...
Has become more diagnosed as stress.
To define and depict,
Those clearly out of their minds...
Are in need of professional assistance.
And funding will cure and mend it all,
With a teaching of proper diet...
Exercise and the discipline of meditation!
'Sounds good.
Now...
How will that effect,
The rights and entitlements people have?'
'Rights?
Entitlements?
To do what?'
'To purchase their weapons.
And protect themselves,
From the ones who refuse to accept...
Being threatened by too much peace.'
'Those rights to keep suspicious of others,
Should not affect...
The ones accustomed,
To look for threats.
Or create their own to feel protected.
But first we must get the funding,
To establish a reason...
For hiring police and security guards.'
'Why?'
'Why?
To create jobs for ourselves.
How do you think,
Institutions begin?
First...
We identify the problem.
Then declare a need for funding.
Declare the community will benefit.
And the experience of it,
Will heal, cure, mend and fix...
Everyone's mental problems.'
