Pi
Richard Newton Sherrer 1951 (Easton)
Testimonies are wonderful,
Therefore my soul is keeping them;
I find them so pleasurable,
As precious as a diadem.
The unfolding of words give light,
It imparts the understanding;
To the simple of what is right,
Of what the Lord is commanding.
I open my mouth and start to pant,
As I long for His commandments;
While others complain and rant,
By a bad person who laments.
I ask the Lord to turn to me,
Being gracious always His way;
For I love what He does decree,
On my heart His name I display.
He keeps my steps to His promise,
No wickedness gets dominion;
Because I trust in His justice,
Not making any opinion.
He redeems me from oppression,
While keeping all His precepts;
When I pray my intercession,
He will respond with His concepts.
The Lord is making His face shine,
In glory teaching me His statutes;
What He has taught has been divine,
In my mind, I have no disputes.
My eyes shedding rivers of tears,
Since people keeping not His Law;
In God, they are having no fears,
Not worried on getting a flaw
