Defending To The Bitter End
Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)
Creating,
A nonexistent truth pursued.
Having nothing to do,
With the evidence that reality produces.
And here we are...
Conflicted.
Bewitched, bothered and mentally confused.
Many nolonger pretend these days,
To be living feeling offended.
By a truth heard spoken to hear,
Is presented.
And...
Upsets their deluded to fiction way of life.
They have chosen to refuse,
How and what they choose to view...
May have nothing to do with truth.
Made to believe many do to believe,
That truth to hear and heard it spoken...
Is a negativity that should be avoided.
And ignored to leave,
Where it is kept disbelieved.
And yet...
This position to take,
Has created ongoing excuses to make.
For mental and physical instabilities.
Man-made.
Observed and witnessed escalating.
Every place one goes with no escape.
Remain upset offended and protesting.
Are the ones left protecting,
A way of life.
To deny it deluded to fiction.
With a deceiving themselves to the bitter end!
Bewitched.
Bothered.
And mentally conflicted.
Defending to delude and fiction,
A way of life that has created...
Their own hatred of it!
Yet defending to the bitter end,
Are kept beliefs.
Disappearing of purpose.
And a substance once to worship!
'With me you may be upset.
Easy to pick to begin your protest.
Done to have others come to protect you.
And...
A cause and reason you feel offended.
Them too!
However...
After much thought and considerable,
Concentrated meditation.
I have to admit,
You to claim me to be...
The creator of your disturbing beliefs?
Is a stretch.
I mean...
Alternative Universe worthy.
Even beyond my own imagination.
And flattered by your accusations?
No.
I am not!
Although the opportunity you have given,
Is there for me to take it!'
