Lived while dying

I lived by the needle
I lived by the pipe
I live in the streets
I lived out of sight

I stood in the dark
I stood in the fire
I stood all alone
I stood for my desire

My heart turned cold
My feeling were numb
I was losing the battle
And then sum

I would talk to angels
But listening to demons
Strapping on liquid cuffs
While praying for freedom

I would try to cry
But no tears would fall
I had so much
And then lost it all

I was all alone
Everyone disappeared
No family no friends
It's what I always feared

So I lived
While slowly dying
Praying for wings
Dreaming of flying

Until I searched
Deep inside
Found my soul
It could no longer hide

Than I stood tall
Heart broken and bruised
And walked towards the angels
Where my soul could be soothed
