Living the Dream

As I looked at the sky
I thought of that dream I kept in time
The dream that I have had when I was a child
Thinking that it's gonna happen anytime.

My dream is not far from the rest
In fact, in a family of  four or more
There is one who dreams of it, too
And believes one day, there plays in snow.

But now, that dream is no longer of a child
It is now for people and children around
To share all my thoughts
To teach what I was taught.

My dream has become a journey
It has all its sweet and bitter turns
But as I continue living
This dream serves its meaning.

About this poem

Going to USA has been a dream. I remember when I was younger, I would want to go to USA simply because I wanted to experience the snow, see the Statue of Liberty, take a picture with the Hollywood sign, and do cartwheel in San Francisco Bridge in California. Now that I am an adult, and a teacher, that dream of going to the US has deeper meaning.
