Inspiring Is Enlightenment
Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)
Inspiring is enlightenment.
Like fresh oxygen is to breathe.
With a keeping to remain aware.
And a mind one begins to find,
Clearing of needlessness.
With a doing of it to finally leave behind,
Nonsense left where it is.
Recognized to identify,
As neither a gift nor suitable to benefit...
Anyone who claims,
Ignorance has value.
That advances humanity with its use.
Although...
As inspiring as enlightenment is to have it.
Today?
Seems to be no challenge,
For the ones facing on a daily basis...
People supporting others out of their minds.
And observed to witness them,
Recruiting more.
More who have been,
Out of their minds for a very long time.
As if to have been living,
In a future that has now arrived!
'All this time,
I thought them to be the nuts.
And today?
They are sought to give advice.
As if 'psychics' or 'gurus'.
Tell me...
Who are the ones these days that are crazed?
Don't be staring at me like that!'
'I'm just wondering.
Was it denial that took you so long to notice.
Or was it the fear of not being accepted.'
'Me?
I am not crazy.'
'I know.
It's okay.'
'Seriously I'm not!'
'I got your back, bruh.
Don't worry about it.'
'You think I am, huh?
You think, you think...
You think I'm pretending to be sane.
I am.
I know I am.
I am blinded by enlightenment.
I can smell the morning dew.
And there I sit.
To greet the Sun.
Rising to dawn upon the horizon.'
'It's okay.
I believe you!
Even though it is barely 3 in the afternoon.
You got it, bruh.
You got it!'
