Few Among The Many
Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)
All lessons to learn,
Don't come out from books.
Or teachers using them,
Hoping their students...
Learn something worthy enough to teach.
However...
It has been said,
Many times much more than once.
That notes taken to quote from books.
Has little to do,
With the truth observed.
To witness on the streets.
When people show who they really are to be?
Feel bless to have that valued experience.
More to treasure.
Than any book one chooses to read.
Keep that in mind.
The eyes, heart and feelings seldom blind.
At any time.
Impressions to address,
Made to do that and nothing more or less.
Ultimately rust.
To expose a false kept pretentiousness.
And staying true and honest to oneself,
Makes all the difference.
Than being left feeling deceived and upset.
Experiences like these are meant to keep.
Making life to live,
More in touch with reality.
And there is nothing about reality,
One takes from a school...
Waving happily an earned to obtain,
College degree.
Only kept faith in God,
Never fails to prove that successfully.
With a broadening of insight.
And clarity delusion free.
Knowing to see people for who they are...
To accept and respect them for just that.
May not reach expectations,
One may have.
And that is not bad at all.
No.
One should be glad many expose,
Who they are to be.
Leaving left the few who expose and show,
What they have to have had experienced...
They were able to let go.
Left to live their lives happily.
Free of conflict and deluded confusion.
By a lowering their expectations.
Yet not their self esteem.
