Teaching Wisdom
Richard Newton Sherrer 1951 (Easton)
Fret not because of evildoers,
Envious of iniquity;
Those workers that are pursuers,
Having with immorality.
For they will soon fade like the grass,
And will wither like the green herb;
As the days and the weeks will pass,
As righteousness will reign superb.
Trust in the Lord always do good,
Dwell in the land and He will feed;
Because when you do as you should,
He will ensure of what you need.
Delight yourself within the Lord,
He gives desires of your heart;
While living in one accord,
Then the righteousness He will thwart.
Commit your way unto the Lord,
Trusting in Him and He will act;
Never let Him to be ignored,
That allows darkness to attract.
He brings righteousness as the light,
And your judgment as the noonday;
You will bring favor in His sight,
When you show your trust and obey.
