Strive for change

Chuks Excellent 2022 (Lagos)

For wealth to exist poverty must have also been in existence
And I asked my self is it in my destiny to become poor
I remembered by father, once told me a story
He said his grand father was a nobody
His father was a nobody
He was a nobody
And he  whispered to my ear and said
you will become a nobody
and I instantly realized our lineage has been cursed I said to my self I must become somebody to every body.

About this poem

This poem just reflects on how far words of motivation can drive a man and how determination and thirst for change transforms a person as we can see in the poem the father tells his child about his fore father's and how poverty has existed between them all as weaknesses none of them could eliminate and how he encourages his child by ironically depleting him thus moving on at the end we could see that the child changed the whole narrative and was ready to change everything thus he understood his father's words .
