Bed of roses
Callum Martin 2001 (United Kingdom)
The funny thing about love is it's a tale of two sides
One is full of mystery and the other will make you blind
You will always have each other so make sure your enjoy the ride
Because when you see the smile on their face just for a second the world seems like a better place
On the flip side everything you do can have a bitter taste
In a world full wonder upeople can never seem to open their eyes
I don't like getting to know people but it's harder to say goodbye
People normally come for the beauty but stay for the mind
Life can become so mondane it's always a nice surprise
So forever on this bed of roses I will lie
My heart is like a roaring fire it's constantly burning
When I get these feelings it feels my insides are turning
I've been alone for so long to meet someone I'm practically gurning
Don't know much about love so there's a lot of learning
Sometimes you feel like you have met the one
Then you start to question yourself and look at what you have become
Is this all real or I'm am just being dumb
Love is an acquired taste as it can be as evil as a gun
As it just takes one shot to get things done
I quite often feel like I'm living in a dream
I'm definitely not royalty but I would like a queen
When I finally have someone they will definitely get all of me
And all that I'll ever be
I might be far from the perfect man
But for the ones I love I always have a plan
I quite often take thing to heart
And all of my demons can my life dark
But when around her my life becomes a beautiful piece of art
I now no longer want to stay in the dark
I want to step out and be like the angel of the other half
My future my be unwritten but I do have this path
For it's because of you my guardian angel I finally found my heart
