Nemesis

They used me for my body.
They used me for my brains. They used me for the things they had to gain. I trusted them. Sometimes even lusted for them. Being used and often abused; what more must I lose. What gives them the right?  All I have left is my life. I must stand and win this fight. Saving me from one evil place another I now much face. Introducing me to my greatest nemesis, you turn on me in the illusion of innocence.

About this poem

This poem was written during a critical turning point in my life. I did not sit with the intention of writing poetry. The words flowed onto the paper without thought or intention of writing a poem. I express the feelings of betrayal and abandonment that played into events that forever changed the course of my life.
