Mysteriously Incompetent
Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)
Less is the content splurged,
On an urgency to govern.
And the more the evidence,
Reveals to expose the truth of this...
Under upturned pretentious noses.
Many unaware and distant,
From consciousness could care.
With a doing to applaud successful outcomes.
By the ones they supported to endorse.
And obtain given positions of leadership.
With an accepting to believe,
Appearances and impressions to make...
Qualifies a mind dressed to charade.
In full imitating masquerade.
Since proper etiquette to present,
Means a status to have it.
Groomed from somewhere.
With a caring not to listen to pay attention,
To hear people like this pledge their loyalty...
To remain and stay as ineffective as possible.
As they promised they would be.
When pledging an allegiance,
To diminish a diversified image...
That represents the look,
Of today's democracy.
'They are doing absolutely nothing,
To convince anyone...
That our culture and society,
Is making progress to advance...
Our aging to decay democracy.
Although...
I must admit,
They are purposely achieving...
The expectations of whoever donated,
To finance this B.S.'
I know.
Isn't it a wonderful experience?
'For who?'
First of all,
Who knew they would be so mysteriously...
This incompetent?
And...
At their own expense?
'Well...
I wouldn't give them that much credit.
Since I am sure,
Those elite playing hide and seek.
With a donating their millions of dollars,
To ensure their support and endorsements...
Would return expected dividends.
On what they've invested.
Have to be upset by the events,
They did not expect.'
Really?
Who do you think chose and picked,
Fools to represent, defend and then...
Protect their interests?
With a doing to meet expectations.
The thinking, intelligent human beings?
Qualified to be suspicious of anything.
And, also...
Mentally quick to sniff what fraud is.
No interest in them,
Do those with wealth pretend it.
The only ones who have lost anything,
Are the ones still living to condone...
An addiction to fiction and believe,
Truth and reality are threatening enemies.
And...
Liars who deceive,
Are by them received to be close friends.
It's the nature of a greeting beast.
Put hundreds of dollars in their left hand,
And everything that had been right to do...
Becomes clueless.
'Come on.
Nothing is that bad.
To get worse than it is.'
My ears to hear and eyes to see,
Use to lie like that to me too.
Until I could no longer,
Make excuses for my being...
Constipated on a daily basis.
'Uh...
Huh?'
Now,
Today?
I pay more attention on what I digest.
To know always...
The proof and truth of it to reveal?
Remains to stay in the pudding.
Everytime to eliminate nonsense.
And the smell of B.S.
Flagrantly without a smothered fragrance.
'Uh...
Yep.
Sure.
Okay.
April showers bring May flowers.'
Uh...
Whatever floats your remoted boat.
Regardless how fraud is hushed secretly.
The crooks will always know,
To place their bets on both sides of the fence.
To win.
At someone else's expense not theirs.
Believe it or not.
