Allegations Presented To Impress
Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)
Allegations presented are different than facts.
Facts with proof,
And undeniable evidence of it produced.
Are not kept as fresh in the minds of people.
Depending upon,
Juicy lip licking innuendos to gossip.
With believable,
Allegations to create deceiving lies to spread.
And someone in the neighborhood,
Keeping to have a notepad to write down...
Arrival times of who visited the 'hood'.
Where and how long they stayed.
And who, it is believed, to have cheated,
On a spouse having an affair...
With both the preacher, his wife and another,
The note keeper has only seen once.
To determine and assume,
Someone miscalculated...
The time to pay a surprise visit.
With room for four laying up,
In a Queen size bed exploring scriptures.
As told to others to tell.
Members of the preacher's congregation.
Pretending shocked with Jaws dropped.
Done to keep nothing sacred between them.
Except admiration for the preacher.
And a planned ceremony to honor his wife.
Whether kept exaggerated or not to impress.
With over the top confessions made,
About the love and loyalty...
People have for them both.
Regardless who has committed sins.
And with who,
The note taker has yet again seen.
Wishing to pray this happens on Monday.
Before noon or after midnight.
To allow rest to get,
Between 6pm and 9pm.
Ensuring a chicken pot pie to have eaten,
Has time to digest a stopping to create gas!
