Somewhat Guilty
Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)
Somewhat guilty.
And...
Somewhat,
Visibly mentally deranged.
The many claiming to have full awareness.
And complete clear sanity.
With common sense intact.
Assisted by a brain,
Cemented in the acknowledgement...
Their minds are not distracted.
Or off on the wrong track.
Yet...
There is something about,
This expressed addressing.
More often than not conflicting,
To accept and believe,
What eyes wide opened observing to see.
Them!
Not only protesting to defend hypocrisy.
But also taking positions to dispute reality.
Wherever the truth of it is revealed.
Whether videotaped, confessions made.
And the ones absolutely found guilty.
Are treated like rock stars, disciples of God.
Although heard these culprits admit to say,
If they had their way...
All of Earth would be,
An unliveable place.
For anyone to think or dare the thought,
They could survive on this planet...
Living life as a human being.
'They only said that out of anger!'
And taking steps to destroy democracy.
From the bottom up to topple down.
Because they allowed themselves,
To become that upset, right?
As if children permitted to throw tantrums.
If the Sun they demanded,
Did not come to set as they expected...
On their entitled spoiled behinds!
Tch...
The minds of those,
Remaining stubbornly childish@
'Well...
Some have taken an effort to endeavor,
Scheduling meetings.
To clear the funk from the air.
With an offering to exchange,
Both meaningful, considerate...
And thoughtful conversation.
Hoping as grown adults.
That both sides will come to agree,
Who is or who is not qualified...
To state their opinions on top of a soapbox.
Done to do it,
For more than the 15 minutes given.
Than before,
When warnings and threats made.
Had gone ignored.
To be told by those rich and famous...
Get over it!
In a rude and disrespectful tone of voices.
None showing empathy to a mental suffering.
Endured when they were children growing up.
To discover in the most shocking of ways,
That Bugs Bunny and Peter Rabbit..
Had not been twins or related at all.
And that Santa Claus,
Came not down from a chimney.
But had been discovered laying in bed.
With their own mothers.
Naked and out of costume seen on the floor!
Not all but few,
Entertained the nonsense of this gossip.
Brewing and spewed in their neighborhoods.
Well...
Any constructive comments?'
Uh...geessshhh.
How difficult this unique case is,
To deliberate...
An appropriate verdict to give it.
'Remember,
No one is here...
To pass their opinionated judgement.
We all should be seeking solutions.
And not find time to criticize.
Or defend lies to tell.
However,
But I will say this...
Before jumping to conclusions.
If I saw a naked Santa Claus,
In bed with my mother.
And I knew my father was not at home?
That angel sitting at the top,
Of our Christmas Tree?
Would have had its wings implanted.
And stuck up in a surprised butt!
With the handle of a small,
And cheap red wagon.
Assembled with only three wheels on it.
As if to go undetected not to be noticed.
No one can tell me,
About sad times experienced.
Ummm...
I digress!'
