Overcoming Our Struggles
Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)
Overcoming our struggles.
None of which we invite.
Tested everyday is our faith.
As we pray.
Morning, noon and night.
Overcoming our struggles.
None of which we say liked.
Seem to take away our excitement.
To worry too much about the life,
We live.
Some stay focused on the negative.
24/7 to receive it and give.
Refusing to believe in the positive,
Of a life they've been blessed to get.
And a mind unused to waste it.
Yet heard to claim themselves faithful.
Morning, noon and night.
Hanging onto troubles that double.
Morning, noon and night.
Yet...
Heard,
To claim themselves to be faithful.
Morning, noon and night.
Expecting to overcome the struggle,
Of their troubles.
With no faith around them in sight.
Used!
With no faith around them in sight.
Seen to use.
Morning, noon or night.
Overcoming struggles that double.
Morning, noon and night.
Seen to use.
That faith they claim is right!
It pays to remain faithful.
Used as a tool.
It pays to remain faithful.
Let go and let GOD prove who rules to you.
And made known.
There is no struggle God can't undo.
Not yours to own or condone the aggravation.
It pays to remain faithful.
Don't be fooled.
It pays to remain faithful.
Yes it 'do'.
Pays...
To stay faithful!
Yes it do,
Pays.
Yes it do,
Pays.
Yes it do.
Pays...
To stay and remain faithful!
Yes it do. Yes it do. Yes it Do.
