Cursed Or Blessed
Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)
Cursed or blessed.
To accept fiction and expect,
This created mind function reduction...
Is a worthless need as a tool used to think.
Or have thoughts beneficial,
Without a consciousness to value...
Independent thinking as a blessing bestowed.
Or a curse to expose unknown to others,
Incapable on their own to do it.
And today?
Those capable to use their own minds,
For the purpose to comprehend...
With reasoning to find a conclusion.
And know themselves to be awake.
Are far out numbered,
By the ones brain fogged.
Or have been permanently damaged,
In times like these.
Clinging desperately,
Onto the comfort of their fantasies.
Fantasies,
More real than truth can be for them to live.
And much more cost effective as well.
Than prescribed medications to take.
Pill popped to consume with others.
Not to know or be told,
What symptoms to look for.
Before rushing into speeding traffic.
Assuming to hear voices from Heaven,
Inviting a quick jump into one of the chariots...
Guaranteeing a tour,
Around the pearly gates...
Will not delay a brunch to sit next to God.
Or whatever one's hallucinating,
Preference may be.
'Your insurance coverage?'
'Huh? My what?'
'What is your payment method?'
'Are we there yet?
Is that...
Is that the voice of God?'
'How many medications have you taken?'
'What have you done to my doctor?
Where is the pilot?
Who is flying my chariot.
Oh...
Swing down sweet chariot.
Stop and....let me ride.
Oh...
Swing down sweet chariot ride.
Stop! And...
Wait.
Say my name, say my name!'
'I'm going to recommend we keep you here.
For observation.'
'Yeah.
Then pass judgement before I get my wings.
And halo, right?
I'm just sayin'...
This is my first trip to paradise.
And save that digital business,
For somebody else.'
