Praise for Deliverance
The Lord is my rock and fortress,
My God and my deliverer;
I take refuge from my distress,
Screens from the evil encounter.
He’s the horn of my salvation,
My stronghold when I call the Lord;
Worthy praise as my foundation,
Knowing my call is not ignored.
So shall I be saved from my foes,
Though the cords of death embrace me;
Of ungodly men, the Lord knows,
Through the destruction, He can see.
The sorrows of hell entangle,
As snares of death have confronted;
And the devil tries to strangle,
I am the prey he has hunted.
In my distress, I call the Lord,
My cry has reached upon His ears;
For my voice has not been ignored,
And He has comforted my fears.
