Witnessing History
Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)
Witnessing history.
In the year 2023.
Publicly.
Free of fiction to delude.
Or...
Have it alleged,
False to create it.
With a pleasing to appease,
Those who protest against...
The laws to follow to eliminate them.
And...
Presented for all to see.
Whether to accept, reject,
Or completely refuse the proof of evidence.
That even a blind bat.
Seen sleeping unaware in a darkened cave,
Could not deny by hiding away.
From the dawning upon the horizon.
Appearing.
As a possibility to restore and save,
Democracy dimming to fade.
Yet...
Returning,
As the home of the brave.
And definitely remaining faithful.
To justice for all to stay.
Regardless of threats made.
Terrorizing a way of life.
By the few believing themselves entitled,
To turn a country and its greatness...
Upside down and crush into the ground.
For senseless reasons to demean,
And invent division to implement...
Civil unrest to expect more to accept,
Who they are to pretend it to fiction...
Themselves being replaced.
By an ethnic diversity.
They too participate to include.
But choose ignorance to prove,
A wanting to wish to be the only image...
And face,
Of a democracy everyone should embrace.
Without truth or reality.
That a witnessing history in the year 2023,
Publicly.
Free of fiction to delude the facts.
Produced with evidence and proof.
Presented for all to see.
Whether to accept, reject.
Or stay remaining to live in denial!
As expected...
Many will choose to do.
