Superiority
Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)
The media.
As a tool.
Can and is used,
In so many diversified,
Ways.
To introduce and produce,
Without excuses made to successfully create...
Emotions had of feelings to have.
Through TV, movies, the internet.
And a rush to purchase videos kept.
Or whatever it is associated to connect,
That keeps the viewer repeatedly reminded...
What to expect and it to accept.
Regardless if not witnessed to observe,
Yet...
In the viewer's mind it has occurred.
Superiority over thoughts and beliefs,
Is a media creation easily to receive.
And followed to allow,
Mental insecurities to manifest freely.
Done to imitate for the sake of approval.
With acceptance sought to seek.
Very few these days,
Have aged to remember,
When there were times existing...
People thought to think,
Before reacting to assumptions.
And common sense to use,
Had not then been outdated.
To regard as a 'thing' from a long gone past.
Today?
Superiority to have has had many to believe,
That a doing unto others...
To lie and deceive and fraud successfully.
Is easy to achieve if done secretly.
And guarantees a happy life to live.
However...
If that was true,
Why are so many doing all they can to prove...
Themselves to feel superior over others.
With a doing to cheat, betray, lie and deceive.
To achieve this known but not it shown,
As representatives focused...
Upon accomplishments that establishes,
A better quality of life to live.
Instead of implementing,
Chaos, conflicts, division and hate.
As if the past had to be missed,
Is a priority to wish a fiction to delude.
Will make them feel better to do.
Than moving forward without censoring,
The proof of truth and evidence...
Their insecurities to have,
Would rather erase than to face reality.
Reality...
Has yet been proven,
To be the cause and reason...
Those victimized by others,
Who hate themselves.
Should share with anyone,
Claiming to be replaced.
By those of ethnic faces.
Enforced to feel inferior.
When that feeling felt to have,
Becomes too obvious to notice...
A losing game to keep it played,
Only reveals children unable...
To perform as adults.
But hope to get familiar results.
If the repeated tantrums are condone.
And approved them thrown as expected!
'I want my way.
Why can I not have my way?'
'Look.
Enough is enough to have had enough of it!
Shut up!
Grow up!
And...
I know for you,
This is a stretch of your limited imagination.
However...
If you dress yourself,
To impress others you are an adult?
Stop acting the part.
And begin with attempts to be one!'
'I am.
But too much is expected of me!'
'And...
Your point to make,
Is what?
And you have the galling audacity,
To believe and call yourself SUPERIOR?!
Over what?
Not who.
But WHAT?!
Stop whining.
Jesus!'
'No!
I'm the chosen one.'
'That has already been determined.
You have proven yourself,
To be chosen the one out of your mind.'
