Elated Forgiveness
Richard Newton Sherrer 1951 (Easton)
Bless those whose sins are forgiven,
And whose transgressions are covered;
Because the Lord up in Heaven,
Allows them to be recovered.
Bless who the Lord counts no darkness,
In whose spirit has not guile;
Iniquities showing starkness,
Repents to change their lifestyle.
Because when I had kept silent,
My bones had been wasting away;
The groaning became violent,
And I started to go astray.
Day and night His hand was on me,
While my strength was drying up;
The summer heat had me to see,
Poison was poured into my cup.
I acknowledge my sin to God,
Hiding not my iniquity;
Confessing about being flawed,
Need to be bathed in purity.
Let everyone who is godly,
Offer prayers one at a time;
For confessing to Him loudly,
Iniquities that caused the crime.
