Unclear Yet Near
Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)
If you did not want to be near me,
Why are you here?
And repeatedly to say,
I will miss you.
When around me,
A proving this doing...
That gone you would be to no longer appear.
And all I want from you to do,
Is to make it clear...
Your distance away from me will be,
Neither a warning nor a threat.
But a vision to actually see evaporate.
You are something else.
To convince yourself...
As if without you here,
I would shed tears and experience...
Sleepless nights tormented with grief.
Sorrow and the deepest of regret.
Yet...
There is one thing I am hoping,
You will do to leave left to prove.
With a doing to take me at least ten minutes.
To remember...
Who you were.
And why you were,
That important in my life to prioritize...
A getting on my last nerve.
Done to do everyday.
Until I prayed one day you would disappear!
So...
Please stop warning me,
You will one day threaten to leave and go!
Go!
Do us both a favor.
To unclear yet near our ears to understand.
Heard to hear.
Made understood and I comprehend.
However...
I must say this,
Prolonged to go on unending episodes?
Taking emotions up and down,
As if to feel being on a rollercoaster.
Without a seat belt or strapped in?
Uh...no!
I'm not into that kind of suspense at all.
E...is for nuff!
I have had e'nuff of your stuff.
Part One...done.
Part Two...here will not come,
Having me chewing on popcorn!
Thank you for your service.
Now move on!
