Hotter It Is
Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)
Hotter it is to see,
One simmer then sizzle...
A kept calm attitude attempted to keep cool.
When day and night,
Harder it gets...
To sit down and try,
Using common sense to achieve and await...
For the right decision to make,
Before a wrong direction to take it...
Slowly evaporates.
Leaving one's mouth left open,
Heard to shout disgusting words coming out!
There has been times when I sat to wish,
I had not been the one witnessed...
Doing this.
But too late it was,
To have kept my mouth closed.
With a gritting my teeth or biting my lips.
Regardless if what I said to do,
Had been honest and truthful to spew it.
No matter if a bridge was burned.
And a bush to beat around,
Took too much time for patience to tolerate...
A stopping my own mind,
From setting someone's thoughtless butt...
On fire!
I could not help delivering,
What I had been repeatedly asked to do!
Personally as if to beg for it.
So I gave the heat.
Not to mistake from where it came.
And hopefully what I said to mean,
Will one day be accepted to appreciate!
Since these days no time do I find,
Wasting it anymore for B.S. to arrive.
Late.
Faking self importance.
Then pretend any excuse or alibi to use made,
Is okay!
Somewhere with someone else,
Perhaps.
Here with me,
No.
Been there to do that.
However...
The past to have had I am not reliving.
And why should I if I could for what reason?!
