Reconciling Ministry
Richard Newton Sherrer 1951 (Easton)
As per the flesh, we know no one,
We regard them thus no longer;
Even though once we knew the Son,
Since Jesus has become stronger.
If anyone has been in Christ,
Then they are a new creation;
And the new has become enticed,
In Jesus as a relation.
For the old things have passed away,
While all things have become new;
All this from God in a new day,
Reconciled to a new view.
We have reconciliation,
Giving us a new ministry;
That we are given salvation,
Deletes our past history.
God has reconciled this place,
Not counting any trespasses;
Providing His mercy and grace,
For everyone who confesses.
We are ambassadors for Christ,
God making His appeal through us;
I plea that you not be enticed,
By these earthly pleasures as thus.
I pray on the behalf of Christ,
By becoming reconciled to God;
Knowing why He was sacrificed,
For healing us where we are flawed.
The Father made Him to be sin,
So that we will become righteous;
No longer corrupted within,
For the price that Christ did purchase.
