Singular Love
Richard Newton Sherrer 1951 (Easton)
Look at what kind of love,
That the Father giving us;
As flowing from above,
To His children as thus.
The reason why the world,
Does not know us or care;
What is being unfurled,
That He is willing to share.
We are children of God,
It does not yet appear;
But all of us are flawed,
And expressing no fear.
But when He does arrive,
We shall be like Him;
We shall see Him alive,
The right will not feel grim.
Everyone who has trust,
Assured to be made pure;
By whom is fair and just,
The One who has the cure.
