Price To Pay
Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)
If it had not been for the many,
Who paid a price to pay.
Defending truth and honesty,
Few would know it known...
Anywhere to have it shown.
Or hear it heard every word of truth,
Is a threat and should be censored.
Protecting the eyes and ears,
Of our inquisitive using internet youth.
If it had not been for many these days we live,
Minds would remain unconscious.
Addicted to a past had.
Normalized would be more nonsense.
Accepted as the only way to live.
Leaving today growing children,
Wanting to be fools for approval and receive...
Like adults observe to clearly witness,
Playing games as if they are kids.
Truth can be more painful.
Than for some to live it as is.
Oh the woe and agony of it all.
We owe those who stand up tall.
Regardless of the consequences,
They may face.
Oh...
We owe those who stand up.
Refusing to beg and crawl after crumbs.
No matter of the ones saying what...
To have believe.
Oh...
We owe those who stand up.
Fearing not what is happening to truth.
Fictioned to delude it.
It isn't easy as 1-2-3.
Nor...
A-B-C.
And not as simple as Do-Re-Me to sing?
Since so many adults today,
Don't even know what that means!
Without being assisted.
No!
It isn't easy as 1-2-3.
Nor...
A-B-C.
To have the people wake up and see.
Fiction to delude the truth,
Has some fearing reality for what it is!
Yet...
Paralyzed by told lies!
And unaware of the price,
They pay.
Unaware of the price,
They pay.
To stay self victimized!
Although...
Accusations to make them,
Remain kept to keep prioritized!
Oh...
The woe.
It must be...
Seeking in a search for empathy!
