All Up In My Mind

All up in my mind,
The time I spend doing as I please.
Is a relief I choose peacefully.

I have already donated much space,
To have others,
Taking advantage of my willingness...
Erasing my priorities.
Not one thoughtfully of benefit replaced.
By them or anyone else.
Asking me how I feel or felt okay.

Today as I've grown older to age.
I pay more attention to this stage I live.
Not to care less about others.
But more of what I need to stay,
Gracefully growing older in my way.
Done to do with no one to approve,
What I do to choose that satisfies...
Every move I make.

To sometimes just lay in bed.
Happy that no one calls.
Or knock on my door.
Disturbing my nothing to do.
With nothing more to choose but that!

Knowing I have earned what I have.
Including blessings from God I received.
And feeling glad,
When I was much younger...
To take chances and risks.
These days I would not consider,
If I wished  my mind...
Had more time to spend,
Doing stupid things like others.
Who refuse to acknowledge,
Mother Nature and the aging process...
No one attempting this can prevent!

Once a fool.
To become twice a fool.
Eventually is a fool who accepts,
Not being a fool who regrets...
Fiction to deny the truth and reality.
Is not worth the time to spend,
Reliving a past to have had it enjoyed.
Has its memories.
When left to leave where they are.
Better reminisced in comfort!

Accepting aging has done this for me!
