what does it matter anyway
what does it matter anyway?: by shauntell rohner
the fact i have to give reminders,
how i wish i had the luxery of forgetting even for a moment the horrors i faced
acid on the tip of my tongue
but i know its not their fault, it didnt happen to them so why should they be expected to think of it every second like i do
a scream in my throat
pain never fading
the beast is soon to be released and she wont feel or be safe
back of her mind, as long as he breathes she'll never have peace.
happiness is a far off dream, hopes lost and tarnished.
what is is hope anyway?
whats ina dream anyway?
sleep escapes her, knowing her boogy man is out there and soon to run the streets again.
fear grips her and strikes her down.
there was peace...once...anytime hes up and away but its an illusion, he never stays, life has played a cruel joke on her, and get this, shes the subject of the joke, the punchline.
sad, nothing new, the same old same, unstable as water, unpredictable as the wind, fickle as the weather ever changing and cant make up her mind. forgive or not to forgive but never forgetting.
ignore him no peace, acknowledge him, no peace. what is peace anyway?
what is justice anyway?
vindication is never going to happen, not on her terms or in her time.
another sad story slipped though the cracks, unfinished, forgotten, not even given a second thought.
how i wish....well i wont finish the thought, what does it matter anyway?
