Disappere

Winter break finally comes
After decades of waiting
My brain was getting tense though I forgot to say
“I like you”
to them after trying so many ways

My body was tired, needing that one person's energy for fuel
My brain imagined them while they thought of
Others

Though I thought of them every day, they slowly
Disappeared

My thoughts ran in circles
Thinking of them
Wishing they could see how I truly felt

Though I thought of them every day, they slowly
Disappeared

Winter break feels like it’s never going to end
Knowing I'm just missing them
Wishing it could go faster, praying to see them

Though I thought of them every day, they slowly
Disappeared

The day before break ends finally came
My heart jumped excitingly
My thoughts ran even faster
My hands were like the Pacific Ocean in sweat

Though I thought of them
Every day
I knew this day would come
My thoughts cleared
My mind was empty

I thought of them every day, they finally
disappeared.
